Questions before the quest?
How quickly will my quest arrive?
Your quest is built automatically as soon as your order comes through, and the printable PDF is emailed to the address you used at checkout. Most quests arrive within a few minutes, and every quest arrives within 3 hours. Please still order before the day you plan to play, so there is room for anything unexpected.
Is the birthday gift included?
No. Quest Tales is the personalized story, clue trail, and printable pages. You choose the gift and keep it ready for the final challenge, so it fits your own budget and your child.
What do I need at home?
A printer, ordinary paper, scissors, a birthday gift, and 4–5 of the everyday spots you choose from our list. The clue trail can revisit a spot with a different task. You do not need special props or an app. If you would rather build one yourself, our ideas pages walk through it.
Can siblings or friends join in?
Yes. In the Solo edition one child is the named hero and everyone else solves the clues together as a team. Duo gives two children their own quests through the same hiding places, each with their own name, age level and theme. Party Edition adds a party pack: a crew guide, fill-in invitations, and a crew certificate and cut-out medal for every guest, by name.
Can I try before I buy?
Yes. We will email you a complete sample quest for free: a pirate treasure hunt for a hero called Captain or a space mission for a hero called Nova, with clues for four common hiding places, in both print versions. Ask for it on the free sample page.
What if my child does not like the quest?
Then you should not pay for it. Email us within 14 days of delivery, tell us it was not right, and we will refund the full purchase — no questions asked. You keep the files. If you would rather we corrected something instead, say so and we will do that. Full terms are on our Terms page.
Will printing it use a lot of ink?
Not if you do not want it to. Every quest arrives as two printable files: full color, and an ink-saver version of the same quest drawn as black line art on plain white pages, with no color and no printed backgrounds. Both come with every order, so you can decide at the printer.
How long does setup take?
Print the pages, cut the clue sheets apart along the dashed lines, follow the placement map, and keep the gift with you until the final challenge. Put out the first card for each spot and hold later cards until the earlier card has been collected. For ages 4-5 there are also small chart pieces to cut out along their dashed frames - the child collects one with every clue and puts the map together at the finish. Every cut follows a printed dashed line, including the round medal on the certificate. Nothing to glue, no special props, no app.
What ages is Quest Tales for?
Quest Tales is designed for children ages 4–9. The child's age sets the reading level so the clues feel fun rather than frustrating.
What's in the Party Edition?
The birthday child's personalized quest, exactly as in Solo, plus a separate party-pack PDF: a one-page crew guide for playing as a team with no single winner, invitations you fill in by hand with the theme's art, a crew certificate for each guest, and a sheet of cut-out medals with their names, for up to 8 guests. Both PDFs come in full color and ink-saver versions.
Can I edit the PDF after I get it?
The PDF is delivered ready to print, not as a self-editable file. If you spot something you'd like changed before your event — a hiding spot, a name spelling — email us and we will send a corrected version.
What if something is wrong with my PDF?
Every quest is checked so the trail is complete and solvable for your child's age before it reaches you. If anything is still wrong, email us and we will make it right — or refund the purchase.
Is anything shipped to me?
No. Quest Tales is a digital product delivered by email. You print and set it up at home, so there are no shipping fees.
